Juice TV Awards
May 4th
Three music videos made at Sunset have been nominated for awards in the Juice TV Awards 2010. Tim van Dammen’s clip for Artisan Guns made it in for the best group, in fact he and Tim Flower (DoP) have five videos nominated; Best Electronic – Kids Of 88, Best Rock – Luger Boa, Best Solo – Anika Moa, and Best Newcomer – Kidz In Space. There’s also Luke McPake’s vid for Lisa Crawly that was shot in the studio for the track “Back to you” in the best break thru artist section (check it out in our video section). And finally theres one directed by our own Duncan Eastwood, for the metal band The Mark of Man edited by Richard Thomas and Shot by Anthony Plant and Myself. So the moral? Shoot at Sunset Studios and you might get nominated for awards

In 2008 we challenged you to spend Halloween night sampling the most horrific (and sometimes just horrifically bad) fright flicks from around the world. And now, it’s that time again!

A Night of Horror

We want to find out if you have what it takes to survive six films, twelve hours, of the best, grizzliest, Grand Guignol from around the world. You’re invited to celebrate Halloween with a night of thrills, chills, guts , gore and (since we have two Italian films) diabolical dubbing and frankly laughable special effects. Drop in for a flick or, if you have the guts, stick around for the whole night – savouring the best and worst the genre has to offer (and enjoying a few little surprises along the way).
